About us
Empower EPC is a trading name of Edward Digby, a sole trader based in High Street Kensington, London W8. These terms apply to all EPC and Retrofit Assessment services we provide.
Booking and quotes
Prices shown on the website are indicative. The final price is confirmed after we review the property details and service required. Commercial EPCs are not currently available to book online.
Payment
For domestic EPCs and PAS 2035 Retrofit Assessments, payment is taken securely online via Stripe when you book. The fee is charged in full at checkout and your appointment is only confirmed once payment has been received. Payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms and privacy policy.
Commercial EPCs are not currently offered. When they become available, payment terms will be agreed and stated on the invoice.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may reschedule or cancel a paid domestic or retrofit booking free of charge if you give at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations or missed appointments with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable.
Access and property conditions
You must provide safe access to the property and all areas needed for the assessment. If access is not possible or the property is unsafe, we may cancel the visit and charge a missed appointment fee.
Lodgement and turnaround
We aim to lodge EPCs fast after the site visit. Retrofit Assessment reports are issued within the timeframe agreed at booking. Turnaround times are estimates and not guarantees.
Liability
We carry professional indemnity and public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the fee paid for the service in question, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us at hello@empowerepc.co.uk within 14 days. We will respond within 10 working days.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
