How much does a domestic EPC cost?

£65 for any residential property, whatever the size. There is no extra charge for bedrooms, floors or travel within our coverage area.

How long is an EPC valid for?

Ten years from the date it is lodged on the national register. If nothing has changed to the property you can keep using it for sales and lettings until it expires.

When do I legally need one?

You need a valid EPC before marketing a home for sale or rent, and before granting a new tenancy. Privately rented homes in England and Wales must normally reach at least band E unless a valid exemption is registered.

What happens during the survey?

We measure the property, photograph and record construction, insulation, glazing, heating, controls and hot water, then produce the RdSAP calculation and lodge the certificate.
